Simon has collaborated with OSF on a number of acclaimed shows and in 2014 received a Guild of Television Cameramen ‘Award for Excellence’ for Channel 4's ‘How To Win the Grand National’. He also has an extensive knowledge of VFX work including: Previs design, Motion control, Motion base, Miniature photography and Face replacement.
In 2005 Simon shot the pilot and subsequently the next 5 seasons of 'Man V’s Wild' with Bear Grylls. He picked up an Emmy nomination in 2010 for his cinematography on Episode 45 ‘Big Sky Country’, directed by Konrad Begg.
Simon has also shot drama for Directors including Otto Bathurst and SJ Clarkson and commercials in the UK, South Africa and USA for a wide range of clients and agencies including BBH, Olgilvy & Mather, Euro RSCG NY and MINDSHARE NY.
