The Splinter unit role on this film was split between Main unit, 2nd unit and Vfx. All of the setups we shot required a high degree of analytical lighting and camera breakdown plots. For example, shooting a reflection of actor Toby Jones looking at a computer screen from a moving camera. This required us to plot the reverse move and match performance on green screen. Also on green screen, we shot genuine lens flares from the Panavision Sphero 65 lenses for ILM to composite over convolutions of objects (dinosaurs) when they moved past bright highlights. Other setups included, opening sequence helicopter process work, Maisie corridor dumb waiter running scene, many other Vfx elements inc airy disk. I took extensive notes from the main units lighting setups so as to make replication simpler when required.
